Where It All Began
We’ve been together for over 16 years and married for 10. From the very beginning, our relationship has been built on balance, support, and a shared understanding of what truly matters in life.
People who know us best would probably describe us as opposites in the best way possible. Mike brings creativity, spontaneity, and imagination, while Dave brings structure, consistency, and calm. Together, those differences have helped us grow stronger as partners and build a life rooted in teamwork, trust, and love.
The Life We’ve Built
As our relationship grew, so did our dreams for the future. Together we've celebrated milestones, supported one another through career changes, tackled home projects, traveled, laughed through unexpected challenges, and continued encouraging each other to grow.
During COVID, we took one of our biggest leaps and created a home that truly reflects who we are. Over time it became much more than just a house. It's where family gathers for Sunday dinners, backyard barbecues, movie nights, birthdays, holidays, and countless everyday moments that have become some of our favorite memories. We love that it's in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood where children play outside, neighbors know one another, and parks, schools, and libraries are just minutes away. It's easy for us to picture bike rides, bedtime routines, holiday traditions, and watching a child grow up surrounded by love, laughter, and a strong sense of community.
The Meaning Behind the Robots
You may notice small robots throughout our site. What started as a fun creative project slowly became something much more meaningful to us.
Each robot is unique... handmade, imperfect, and full of personality. To us, they represent individuality, curiosity, creativity, and growth. They remind us that every child deserves to be loved for exactly who they are.
In many ways, the robots tell our story. Mike brings imagination, creativity, and big ideas, while Dave brings the patience, structure, and steady support that help bring those ideas to life. Individually we're different, but together we've built something stronger than either of us could have created alone. They're a reminder that every child is wonderfully unique and deserves to be loved, celebrated, and encouraged to become exactly who they're meant to be.
Looking Ahead
Becoming parents has been one of the biggest dreams we've shared throughout our relationship. More than anything, we look forward to the little moments that make a family feel special: reading bedtime stories, helping with homework around the kitchen table, cheering from the sidelines, celebrating birthdays, decorating for the holidays, and creating traditions that will become cherished memories. We hope to raise a child who always feels safe, deeply loved, encouraged to follow their dreams, and free to grow into exactly who they are meant to be. More than anything else, we hope they always know they'll have two dads cheering them on every step of the way.
