Hi, I’m Dave.
I’m someone who is naturally curious, steady, and deeply committed to the people in my life. I enjoy learning, setting goals, and following through, and I take pride in being someone others can rely on. I value consistency, strong relationships, and creating a life that feels grounded, supportive, and full of connection.
Growing Up
I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and I’m the youngest of two boys. I’ve always been very close with my family, and those relationships continue to be a big part of my life today. I’ve also been lucky to build strong, lasting friendships over the years, something I value deeply. From a young age, I was drawn to reading and learning. I’ve always had a natural curiosity and a desire to understand how things work, and that mindset has stayed with me throughout my life.
Finding My Way
I’m someone who sets goals and sticks with them. When I decided I wanted to run a marathon, I committed to it and followed through, eventually completing four marathons and over ten half marathons. Running has become something I really enjoy… it helps me clear my mind and gives me space to think. That same curiosity shows up in other parts of my life as well. I’m an avid reader, especially when it comes to comics and graphic novels, and I enjoy testing my knowledge through trivia. One of my current goals is to be on Jeopardy, and studying for it has become a fun and ongoing challenge.
Life Today
I tend to be more analytical and steady, and I bring that sense of consistency into our home. I enjoy routines and making sure things are taken care of, but I also really value the simple, everyday moments… relaxing at home, watching TV at night, working on a crossword or puzzle, and spending time with family and friends. Family and friends are incredibly important to me. I take after my mom, who has built and maintained strong relationships throughout her life, and I try to do the same. Having a strong and supportive community around me has meant a lot, and it’s something I’m excited to share with a child.
Looking Ahead
Becoming a parent is something I’m truly excited about. I earned the nickname “Papa Bear” in college because I naturally took on a role of looking out for and taking care of the people around me. That instinct has stayed with me, and I’m looking forward to bringing that same care and support into parenthood. I want to be present, dependable, and someone a child can always turn to… whether it’s for guidance, encouragement, or just to feel understood. I’m especially grateful for the partnership Mike and I share. We balance each other in a way that makes our home feel stable, warm, and full of care, and I’m excited for the day we can share that with a child and grow together as a family.
